OVER $100,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS GRANTED SINCE 1990!

Mensa Canada Scholarship Programme (MCSP)

A number of different scholarships are offered by the Mensa Canada Scholarship Programme (MCSP), Mensa Canada’s charitable arm.

The MCSP awards scholarships and Honorable Mentions as funding permits, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,500. Scholarships have been awarded to a wide variety of academic programs including: engineering, art, social sciences, medicine, mathematics, computer science, and skilled trades. A selection of winning essays can be read on the Winners page of the Mensa Canada Scholarship Program site.

Funding comes primarily from donations from Mensans, with generous contributions made by the SparrowKerstan, and Woodhams families to support scholarships named in their honour. Donations from the public are also gratefully accepted.

Please use the donate button below to send a donation via Canada Helps. This is a not-for-profit location that manages charitable donations, with minimal administrative fees. You will be provided an immediate tax receipt and funds are transferred directly to the Mensa Canada Scholarship Programme.

The program is open to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants at least 18 years of age who are enrolled in a qualifying full-time program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

To enter, applicants submit a 250-word essay describing their career goals and their efforts on the path to achieve those goals. Deadline for submission is January 31st each year. Winners are announced during the summer. For more detail, please see the official Rules page on the Mensa Canada Scholarship Programme site.
